About this 3D model

This high relief, carved from stone, was created by an anonymous venetian sculptor in the second quarter of the 14th Century. The relief depicts The Madonna and Child group typical in Christian art. The work originates from a public hospital, given to the museum in 1912. The sculpture is heavily damaged, and the Christ child has been entirely removed, probably through the result of iconoclasm.
