About this 3D model
This marble sculpture has been moulded after a bronze sculpture made around 1893 by the same Rodin. The two lyrical figures were meant to be part of a monument in Paris in honour of French workers. This sculpture would have been at the top of a spiral staircase decorated with bass-reliefs depicting labour scenes. The final project then failed but Rodin remained passionate about his own work, he even proposed it as a sculpture to be placed on his burial site.
