Model Description:This download contains a highly detailed model of a T-72 "Ural", the earliest version of the vehicle. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible without sacrificing printability or durability. Historical Description:The T-72s were a family of Soviet Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) which entered service in 1973, with later versions remaining in service to this day. This model represents a 1973 T-72 Ural tank. The Ural was the first version of the T-72 to see service, being less advanced than its successors. The Ural used a coincidence rangefinder and lacked advanced fire control systems. Furthermore, the vehicle lacked composite armor and instead relied on conventional armoring systems. Later versions would see significant internal changes and the addition of composite and reactive armor packages. The vehicle was equipped with an earlier version of the 125mm anti-tank cannon found on all T-72 MBT variants.
