This Hai Kun Class submarine scale model has been developed by Titans Product Design to represent Taiwan’s first domestically developed modern submarine. The design focuses on accurate proportions, a clean external silhouette, and restrained surface detailing suitable for serious collectors, modellers, and educational display use. The model captures the distinctive contemporary hull form of the Hai Kun class, including its modern sail geometry, streamlined casing, and overall balance. Detail is intentionally subtle, reflecting the real submarine’s low-observable design philosophy rather than exaggerated or speculative features. About the Real Hai Kun Class:The Hai Kun-class submarine, also known as the Indigenous Defense Submarine (IDS) programme, represents a major milestone in Taiwan’s naval development. Launched in the early 2020s, the Hai Kun is the first submarine designed and built domestically in Taiwan. Intended to strengthen Taiwan’s undersea deterrence and maritime defence capability, the Hai Kun class incorporates modern combat systems, contemporary sensors, and a hull optimised for regional operations. The programme marks a significant step towards greater self-reliance in defence technology and long-term fleet sustainability.
