About this 3D model
Presentation I could not find spool storage model for my rod size so I decided to design it myself. I printed if with PETG but PLA is fine too! I uploaded multiple print profiles for recommended rod diameter b ut you can change the size using the Fusion 360 parametric file. Available rod diameters : 25.4 mm (1 inch) 23 mm 21 mm 20 mm 19 mm (¾ inch) 18 mm Left a comment if you don't know how to use Fusion 360 and want another diameter, I can upload another print profile. The storage is composed of multiple parts : wood rods top side 3d printed parts top middle 3d printed parts bottom size 3d printed parts bottom middle 3d printed parts The number or parts to print depends of the length and how tall the rack is. I recommend to add a middle section every 60 cm of length. You can also have more than 2 levels as the bottom part can be use to as part to join 2 levels. For my spool rack (28 spools), I used : 4 rod (21 mm x 120 cm) + 6 rods (21 mm x 23 cm) 2 top side parts 2 bottom side parts 1 top middle part 1 bottom middle part Build instructions Building the rack is very simple. 1. As the model is modular, you have the print the number of part needed (6 in my example). ? 2. Create each section ? 3. Assemble the full rack ? Parametric May be you don't have 21 mm diameter rod, don't worry you can adapt the model ! The model designed with Fusion 360 and I uploaded the file so you can modify it yourself if you are familiar with Fusion 360 ?
