This is a small lamp I made taking advantage of Makerlab's MakeMyVase feature. You can customize this design by creating your very own outer shell and making a modification in the slicer. I will show you how! This lamp is based on a design I started for use with a lithophane globe using an inexpensive easy to use light pre made assembly that does not produce heat, making use with pla ok. Ive included a link for the ones I buy- available in a 2 or 4 pack. Check my other designs if you want other designs to use the extras with! Follow me for more designs to come using the same assembly. Assembly: First insert lamp into the lamp base from underneath and clip the metal into the base, making sure to match it up to the cut out on the side for the power cord. Nextinsert the spiral vase piece into the outer shell keeping in mind that the parts with the inner rims are the bottoms. It is a tight fit but they will fit together and be snug at the bottom. The inner piece sits in the groove on the base and the outer shell sits on top of the base. Next put the top on, making sure the inner slides into the top piece's grove. After you have everything sorted out, take the top and bottom back off and drop a tiny bit of glue in the grooves and reassemble. Done! If you want to make your own outer shell- Go to MakerLab and select “Make my Vase” Set the top and bottom widths at 83mm. Set the height at 125mm After you are happy with your design download it and open it in Bambu Studio- Dont skip the next step Center it on the plate by right clicking on the model and selecting center. Right click again and select add negative part- cylinder. Next click beside the model to put the piece on the plate and set the sizes to x: 75mm y: 75mm z: 20mm. Make sure the model is sitting flat on the surface of the plate(not lower than the face or up in the air). You can use the move feature if corrections are needed. Once you have the size set- right click the negative part you have created and hit “center”. Slice it and now you should have an open top and an open bottom. Check dimensions and make sure your height is 125mm. If you must make an adjustment here, uncheck the check box to keep it from also resizing your width.
