About this 3D model

A print-in-place hinged earplugs case made after seeing that many available already are, well, not-so-great looking. This was an effort to make a foam earplugs case that is more aesthetically pleasing (and smaller). As such, the model requires supports to print the hinge section. Could the model be modified such that no supports are necessary? Absolutely . Would take two minutes, tops. But then it would look worse, which obviates the point of this project. I've printed this in both standard and matte Bambu PLA. For slicer settings, I chose very short layer heights to ensure fillets survived into the final printed product. Note that the hinge requires rather tight tolerances to be functional. In a future version, I intend to: Update the clasp design (the clasp is functional as-is, but a stronger, more firmly fitting latch would be preferable); Revise the internals of the hinge to ensure good printability; and Add a small grill to vent out earplugs after use.
