About this 3D model
We needed a robust, cheap, strong quadrotor/multicopter frame for a project but were unhappy with the options on websites like Hobbyking. Also I'm new to all this and when you crash a lot it's nice to be able to print out parts cheaply. This is the every-evolving frame we designed with printable pieces and wooden (or aluminum... or anything really) 1/2" 40cm arms. Designed in sketchup. Printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2. See it in action here: http://youtu.be/0ZLPQNrojcU This project was part of a larger one to build and deploy a 3D mapping robot.
