hello everyone, after testing several carbon filters offered on this site that did not suit me, I decided to make my own. advantages of my model: no magnet needed very fast and durable printing in ABS almost unbreakable in “normal” use explanations: the lid fits into a groove on both sides of the box ( do not forget supports if that reassures you, but I printed without and it worked fine !) a small piece of cord is essential to extract the filter from its housing! I used a 2.5mm paracord scrap tie a knot inside and one outside (see photo) be careful when removing the box from its slot in the printer, you need to get used to a small pivoting motion to the left while lifting very slightly without getting agitated! this new filter was made to fit very snugly and performs its filtering role even better since there is less play unlike the original paper filter! => at the risk of repeating myself it is essential to get used to the gentle extraction motion and especially with the top cover firmly wedged in the box (without overfilling with carbon, which would deform the cover and jam the filter in the printer) in the photos, I haven't put the carbon in so you can clearly see the design of this filter! required: for the carbon, use 4mm pellets like everyone else for printing ABS or ASA 0.4 nozzle max for grid fineness (a 0.2 nozzle would offer nothing better except a waste of time)
