About this 3D model

These magnetic couplers fit most Kato Rhätische Bahn rolling stock with only minor modifications to the coupler mounting. I use these within "fixed rakes" such as the Glacier Express coaches, but use other couplers (such as Dapol Easi-Shunt (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/dapol-easi-shunt-coupler-adapter-for-kato-rhb-rolling-stock)) at the ends of the rake. Advantages: - easier to couple - more prototypical looking - correct spacing between carriages / wagons Disadvantages: - couplers are polarised, so carriages and wagons must face the right way. - magnets are not very strong, so heavy trains, steep gradients, and uneven track might cause uncoupling. - the couplers are 1½ mm higher than prototypical.
