A very detailed model of the Grman PzH 70 self-propelled artillry. This was the precursor of the PzH 2000. In the 1970s, Germany - along with Italy and UK - wanted to create a common self propelled artillery platform. It was called te PzH 70 in Germany. There are several variants, this one is the german one. It featured assited gun ramming and automated shell ejection, a novelty for the age. It is armed with a 155mm gun capable of firing NATO-standard projectile. The chassis was a highly modified one taken form a Leopard 1 chassis, or one of the prototypes of the early Leopard 2. ultimately, the project failed to satisfy all 3 countries involved, but the research rsulted n the production of PzH 200 in Germany, AS90 in Britain, and Palmaria in Italy.
