About this 3D model
This is for those of you who want to simply add LED lighting to your print area and have been turned off by some of the complicated prints. I cut down my simple LED riser with vents to an even simpler LED only riser. This model only adds 15mm to the height of your printer, and is made of only 4 sections that snap together by hand. Print the sections out, install a rope light such as the one on the picture, and that's it. Notes: Matte PLA works best for a smooth finish and ease of support removal. You can, of course, jazz it up with whatever filament and color you desire. There's a notch in the back for the USB cable from the rope light to pass through. In the picture, I installed it on top of my original riser to show fitment, because I didn't want to remove my current riser. It still fits in the same recess for the top glass. Which brings me to the next point; My original is sealed down because on occasion I'd find it displaced because of the vibrations during print. I'm assuming that this riser will have the same problem, so use some thin double sided tape or some sealant to hold it in place. I've used a few dabs of silicone sealant on my original one and have had no problems; this will also allow me to easily remove it if I need to.
