About this 3D model
I wanted to add additional lighting to the A1 but needed it to be directional since it is in a living space (I have an excellent air filtration system and air quality monitor next to the printer). I remixed Jeff Smith’s excellent design that uses an inexpensive puck-style LED that is powered via a 5v USB connection. Reference the attached photos to see the amount of light coverage provided by the LED. I also included two cable holders that allow the LED cable to be neatly routed behind the printer to keep it away from moving parts. Two plates are included: one for mounting on the left corner of the printer and the other for mounting on the right corner. Requires one M3 bolt (I used an M3x10mm) to attach the LED to the top mount base. 60mm Round LED used (white light version is recommended for the brightest lighting): https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805556934763.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.29.63361802nm1ezB&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa ***Do not use the LED model listed below (the version without the diffuser lens). This version is 1mm larger in diameter and will not fit inside the housing without scaling up the design***
